Real Sources Africa is a Pan-African supply chain and B2B marketplace platform operating across Sub-Saharan Africa. My role was to build their complete brand identity — from logo construction to brand guidelines, landing page, and social templates. Built solo over two months.

The project required creating a strong brand identity and an engaging UI to support their vision of becoming a leading international procurement and supply chain platform.

Develop a distinctive and recognizable brand that reflects the company’s mission and values. Ensure the brand communicates trust, innovation, and commitment to resource efficiency.

Solutions

Identity System Development:
Developed a cohesive brand identity, including logo design, color palette, typography, and visual elements. The brand elements were designed to evoke trust, energy, and innovation, aligning with the company’s mission. The logomark carries a deliberate detail — the 'R' is tilted at 23.227° to represent the top-right of the Horn of Africa, with the 'S' rising in a spring-like motion to represent a point of origin. Every angle was intentional.

User Interface Design:
Designed wireframes and prototypes using Figma, focusing on user journey and key interactions. Conducted user testing and incorporated feedback to refine the UI for optimal usability and visual appeal. Implemented a responsive design to ensure accessibility across various devices.

Conclusion
The Real Sources Africa project successfully met its goals by establishing a strong brand identity and creating an intuitive, user-friendly interface. The enhancements led to increased user engagement and positive feedback from businesses and customers. The brand system traveled from a hard hat to a landing page to Instagram templates — and felt like itself at every stop.
